What do you guys think of this video? It does look like a person from 1928 holding a cell phone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygxVg1rqFQE

You can't believe everything you see these days. It just takes time to do these tricks even for some hobbyist.

cell phone towers, equipement and operators travelled back in time with her so she could talk.

It's a very old stage gesture, tugging at the coat collar. Before the "talkies" too. Akin to john malkovich with a d*ck in his ear:)

If you go by Star Trek...then all you need is a spaceship hovering above earth...hehe.

Freaky video....and I love how she turned towards the camera at the very end....seemly talking away....great timing that.

I know with some time and the right software, this could have been manipulated as well. Someone very crafty who understands grain, colour, rotoscoping, compositing, shadows and 3D motion tracking could have easily done and fooled everyone. If you get all of that right and green screen them, turn out the colour or any green screen artifact, it could have been totally believable.

I know allot of us are capable of creating believable clips including myself.

I was more gobsmacked that I heard it on the news.

My initial reaction is either coincidence (she had a sore ear or something), or trickery. I can't beleive there seem to be folks that think it is evidence of time travel, who would she be speaking to? There was no mobile phone network :)

... who would she be speaking to? There was no mobile phone network :)Reminds me of a 'B.C.' comic strip wherein Peter shows off his brand new invention, an old crank style phone on the side of the tree - the only one of its kind. It rings. He picks it up, listens briefly, and hangs up. "Wrong number", he says ...

If someone could time travel...
and that awesome technology was in use...
don't you think cell phones would've become something less, well, bulky...
maybe something embedded in your ear?

But then, according to Star Trek, we won't have an end-all solution for blindness (Jordie glasses) or baldness (make it so) in the future either...
so ok...
Time Traveler it is then. :)

Cure for baldness is called a 'hat' and is older than the Roman empire

I still stand by my belief that if you look at the last few frames she takes her hand away and it appears to be empty.

Well I think that proves it, a mobile phone with a cloaking device is definitely of the future.

In all seriousness though, everyone knows that temporal mobiles relay their waves across time.

I'm a time traveller too, just dont make big fuss about it and try to stay unnoticed.

I just time traveled from right now... to right now.

Woohoo! It worked! I knew I could do it if I just believed hard enough. Though I still have some way to go before I can match Phil's trans-momentary shifting.

I have heard of people using the power of their mind to traverse space and time. I shall now focus and attempt to travel back twenty seconds in time to add a preface to this post.

Do you mean she had an invisible cell phone!! Wow! Must have been far in the future then! ;)

Also, when did walking on a city street acting weird talking to yourself become new? :D Live in a big city for a short amount of time and you see stuff like that all the time.
