View Full Version : can i patch LWCAD curves? or ring of LW curves

Hi,
I have few rings that i want to patch to make rocket like shape, what is the best way (read: fast and hassle free) to do it?

You could try the Create Skin command. But I have never been happy with the straight sided results from Create Skin.

Instead I would make your shapes into a spline cage and then use the patch command to make your shape.

The other way you could do it quickly is make the curve a profile with the end and start points not exceeding x=0 either way and lathe it.

you can use cm_loft, free plugin..

you would need to cap end poles manually thou,just select your smallest end curve and weld it and then probably use detail/polygons/fix poles, but that should be no hazzle.

Edit..Soth! you have a quite a lot of points in there, maybe be careful with having that much points, donīt think thatīs necessary.
