Hi

I've been slugging along for two years running lightwave on my work computer, Q6600 dell precision t3400 first with the built in quadro NVS 290 and more recently switched to a ATI 3780 they had lying around.

Unfortunately I can't get the graphics card i'd like to finally ask for... I guess it only supports up to 300W power consumption and 768 mb memory. does anyone have any recommendations for cards that would run on that computer? I will probably be asking for a new card when Lightwave 10 is released. I was looking at a Nvidia Quadro FX 1800.

any ideas would be much appreciated.

Not available anymore but you can likely call for an equivalent model:

I'd be careful in chosing an ATI as there are a few issues cropping up on the site concerning their compatibility with Lightwave. Nvidia would appear to be the way to go at the moment.
