View Full Version : Copy'n'Paste pivot with layer. Can it be done ?

Sorry if this is something I'm overlooking, but I have two objects which are similar apart from some details.

I have updated 1 of these models and want to put those updates onto the other model but I only need certain layers copied over.

So I have both models loaded up in Modeler. I take my first layer and do a 'Copy'. Then I switch to the 2nd model and in a new or existing empty layer, I do a paste.

But when I go to the View/Pivot button, I see that the co-ordinates of the pivot point in that layer hasn't passed over.
In facts the pivot point thats in the 2nd model is probably one left over from when that layer had something in it.
But even so....

Is there a way to copy or clone a layer and take the pivot data with it ?
I spent a lot of time setting these pivot points to be as exact as I could and I really do not want to have to do that again.

Thanks in advance.

Hello nickdigital,

Do you know anywhere that this plugin is still available since the change to Flay.com?
I'm trying to copy and paste multiple layers between models while keeping the same layer structure, names etc.
Any advice you can share would be great.

Ah...so much of my help will be pointless now that Flay is gone. 8~

Try this. I think it's the same plug-in. Just different site/database.
