LW 8 is coming and we know something about it.
I know this theme was discused some time ago but
while the final release is coming I want to know (if it is possible)
from newtek team,: Is there any trailer demoing LW contribute
to the CG world?

I don;t want to say why to have this trailer.
this is just a public question.

You mean like copy Alias on how they made a Trailer and commercial for Maya 5?

You also mean like Softimage did too?

Personally, I think they should do more demo stuff. It'd be nice to see Newtek commision out some work to some artitsts to show off the latest version of Lightwave.

Thats actually a great Idea, commissioning artist for 8.0; with emphasis on work that displays the new features...

a trailer which i can show to my friends what LW can do.
In reality what LW has done till now.
From this forum i have jumped to many excellent studios.
Anyone of these could perfectly release a trailer if NT is busy with
LightWave 8 itself.

Now i;m simply asking (to NT staf)::
will be there any trailer for LW?

I have heard this is done with this/ this is done that/those are
done with those/ bu-bu-bu/de-de-de/.....
I see often LW Gallery anf i;m proud that i;m part of this nice
big profesional community.
My friends can;t believe that this kind exellent work
does have not a ................guess what......a trailer!

the trailer is an way of expression which has not propietary,
so we are not COPYING anyone.

we must climb to the top of top and SCREAM a trailer!

Aaah, so your friends already know what can be done with LW :-)

A Trailer is not a must have (for me). Once a trailer would be finished, there's some new incredible cool work out there, which should have been in the trailer.

There's so much great stuff on Newtek's website, more cool stuff to come.

Cheers,
Andreas

Hi andrea!

Yes, my friends got frozen and remained with their mouth opened
while they saw some pictures at LW Gallery.

... and while we are talking, LW users are making more and more
admirable works. You say LW has done so much..., OK!, but much
is only a word, while short sequences with a nice music on background are much much more.
Those are real references for some.
But I;m sure that if you have one on your harddiskdrive
you could see things that you didn;t know that those were done with LW.
And you would play it at full screen every day for a month and enjoy with your friends too.
Is this true Andrea?

RESPECT!

Zarti, "not a must have for me" doesn't mean it wouldn't be nice to watch a cool LW trailer. For sure I'll watch it again and again and again ... :-)

BTW: "Andrea" is a female name in Germany. My name is Andreas. :D

Cheers,
Andreas

LightWave (AKRYLS)?

Personally I kinda miss having a demo reel tape, like what was available back in the 5.5 days.... :D

A killer demo reel for LW should be available on the NT website 24/7, no question.
