Hey all,

I'm trying to feed in more than 2 colors into the MultiFractal node but as you all know there is only Bg color and Fg color.. any ideas how I can do this?
Thanks!

Quick idea : have you tried feeding one of the entry (or the two if you wish...) with a gradient ?
That way you could have a inifinte number of colors, i think, although i didn't test that idea as i don"t have LightWave open in front of me.

Cheers,

Feed the multifractal output into a gradient input and gradient into color.

Thanks everyone! I ended up putting a crackle instead of the multifractal.. and fed color into the input!

Good. I needed it, too.
Many thanks.

That was going to be my next question.. say I want to use a swirl texture and mix it with a multifractal.. How would I do this since there's only once input for the scene material?

Use a mixer node.

Remember, you can daisy-chain nodes. So you could have five multi-fractals all chained together (output color into the next node's bg color). Same with the mixer nodes.

Awesome! Ill have to give that a try when I get home.. I tried something similar but it didn't seem to mix well.. Thanks!
