I am building a VT3 single system and it's been recommended that I build around the following:

ASUS P4C800 P4/800FSB motherboard with A/GBL/R/SA/1394
Pentium4 2.6 GHZ/800FSB processor RB with I gig of Ram. My question is with the new VT3 recommendations of both a 32 bit and a 64 bit PCI slot, would the above system with a single 32 bit slot provide enough bandwidth to prevent any stuttering on recording and playback. My present P4 1.4 system has problems in this area. Would I be short-sighted in selecting this motherboard as opposed to one that has the two PCI (32 and 64) bit slots. The advantage for this motherboard is that it is really fast, but the bandwidth question has me a bit concerned.

The system will be used for off-line recording, editing, and playing back programs that use limited animations and special effects.
I would appreciate any advice. Thanks

That motherboard supports the new Serial ATA interface which will allow up to 150 MB/s data transfer rates. I wonder if you used that interface with the new SATA IDE drives if it would work ok.
