hello fellas
started college a few weeks ago (finaly haha)
and i amjustdoing an IT course atm
but next year i wanted to go into media whitch have a 3D area
now the problem is they use Maya, and i love LW
but i was thinking maybe i should do the 3D couse next year eaven if itis with Maya, because maybe ill learn abit of usefull info about animation.

i just wantedto know what you lot think.
you think i should stil to just IT, or should it do the Maya course

but i do want to stik with LW (when it comes tot he future)

learning another app can only be beneficial to you and will make you a better LW artist IMHO.

yeah defo do the maya course, student version is uber cheap and what you learn can be re applied to most any 3d software

Yep, any 3d knowledge is good. Even if you learn about things that you know you want to put in as feature requests in LW. Also don't forget to look at other non-cg courses, such as architecture, design, typography, color theory, figure drawing, etc.

te be honest i cant do it atm
im doing my IT course atm but my tutor did say he is going to arange for me to meet with the 3D modeling... tutor for a talk :) whitch i am exited about
