Could I get some advice on a Windows box that will run CORE without spending a fortune? I'm looking for the minimum power, but with the better components. I have monitors, and would like to run both, so that means after buying the computer I'll be adding a second GFX card.

Thanks for any advice,
Greg Reyna

Hmm… Hard to say. What would be your Max Budget and your Min?:stumped:

You could just look at the minimum specs (http://www.newtek.com/lightwave/lw10.php)and try and do better then that as high as your budget allows.

Thanx, but being a Mac guy the myriad Windows machine possibilities finally confused the bejeezus outta me; I'm sticking with Apple. My Mac software investment clinched it. I bought a 2009 8-core Mac with the Radeon 5870. Now I'm looking for a lower-end gfx card for a second monitor.

Core i7 930 or 920 should you give quite good price/power.

300 usd for cpu, 200 usd for mb, 100 usd for gfx, 100 usd for 6 GB = 700 usd
