Does anybody know the exact meaning of the Lightwave warning message :

"PFX : Illegal Polygon [over points]"

Thanks

Hmmmmmm... maybe you have a polygon with too many points? The manual will tell you the limit, but it's very high.

Are you working with sub d objects?

if not triple your mesh, that will fix it.

There is a limit to the amount of points that can be in a polygon in Lightwave, I forget what that limit is but it's in the hundreds somewhere I believe.

If it were a subpatch error, it'd say something about needing either 3 or 4 points. I don't think it would give the PFX error.

Is this an object you imported? I wouldn't think that Lightwave would have allowed you to create the poly in the first place.

I do believe that the point limit is something like 1024 points per polygon. I do know that it's a high number.

I've had this problem several times, I find the best solution is to merge points/unify poly's - if applicable. if your still having problems triple your mesh.

It's worked for me in the past.

I assume your using a collision object?

Yes I have a collision object.
And particles with hypervoxels. ( PFX )
I also have a subdiv object which is not the collision object.

I'll try to triple the collision object...

It works !

I tripled the collision mesh and saved the objects and scene.

Now the warning message is gone.

Thanks everyone !:)
