i was trying to import an audio into LW yesterday in layout

it was an MP3. but and to see if something was wrong i imported a .wav file and that worked
are only .wav filesc compatable with LW?

I thought it was only .wav supported. For Lightwave that is. I don't know about the 3rd party plugins.

I can with SoundForge.. But that's not free. :)

My friend told me about a free sound editor that he loves but I forgot the name.

Well it should work with 7. I use Vista and 7 is nothing else but Vista the way they intended it to be.
