I'd very much appreciate some advice. What is the lowest cost program to convert image sequences to video, splice together with nothing fancier than fade in/out, and add a couple of layers of audio? Thanks.

Thanks Whelkn.

I AM the Dumb Bunny, but I don't get how WMM converts image sequence to a video format.

Thanks, Cresshead. I had forgotten about the technique of image sequence conversion using Layout. But the Blender video editor will fit my needs very well. Again, thanks.

Quicktime pro is about $20. It will convert sequences to mov or avi, but is limited on the number of codecs (for avi's). But then again what do you expect for 20 bucks now a days. :D
