I have been using LW 9.3 on my XP laptop for a long time. I've just installed LW 9.3 onto my Win7 64-bit laptop but I couldn't get the dongle to be recognzied.

I downloaded the Sentinel driver 7.6.1 but it installed itself into an inappropriate location, so no driver found. When I installed the driver manually, I got an error window saying that Windows found the driver but encounted an error "Access is Denied".

I did this in the adminsitrator account, so I don't know what I should do next!

My dongle is a USB dongle came when I first purchased LW 6.

I am desperate for help as I can't used LW properly now without this being resolved. Thanks!

Maybe try again (no guaranty that it works):
Uninstall driver - either by using windows control panel or the driver cleaner from safenet-inc - ssdcleanup 1.2.0.5.
http://www.safenet-inc.com/Support_and_Downloads/Download_Drivers/Sentinel_Drivers.aspx#

Reinstall:
- switch off UAC in Windows7
- Start -> Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Change User Account settings (set it to the setting at the bottom "Never notify") (I installed with this setting and it worked fine)
Alternative1:
- right click on the sentinel installer file
- click run as administrator
Alternative2:
- right click on the sentinel installer file
- click Properties
- click tab Compatibility
- click checkbox "Run this program in compatibility mode for"
- select "Windows XP ..."
- click Checkbox "Run this program as an administrator"

If installation worked you maybe want to activate UAC again if you switched it of.

Maybe it works.
