View Full Version : When parenting to null object stays in place

I am importing objects into an LW9.6-scene. They should be placed at
certain Nulls. But now after parenting to a Null in Scene Editor the object
still stays at its origo-position. I expected it to move to the Null-position.

The different Nulls for the imported objects are precisely matched to the
main object. Therefore it would be a labourous operation to move each
imported object into position by hand.

A curious thing is that the marker for the coordinate axes has moved its
H, P and B-values after the null it was parented to, but still it stays at
origio and not at the parent null. However, the object has not turned its
position. It stays in the right angles as modeled even if the pivot has turned.

I might be doing something wrong here. But I canīt figure it out.
Any comment?
