View Full Version : DPKit Boolean memory problem.

I've just discovered memory problem with DPKit's Boolean shader.
It looks like shader doesn't free memory after frame render and this leads to LW crash. When monitoring process in task manager memory usage increases to about 4GB and then LW crashes.
I've attached sample scene which crashes after rendering about 9 frames and it doesn't happen only when rendering sequence but also when rendering same frame few times.

Is this fixable ?

...Is this fixable ?

This came with the last fix related to a multithreading
issue (06/06/10), so previous versions have not this
memory problem (same thing in Ray Intersect node).
Can't say actually if this could be solved,
while keeping the modification for the MT issue.

...seems to be fixed now in the last x32 version of DPKit.

The term "a man has to know his limitations" never sits well with you does it :D ... is there anything you can not fix ?

Thanks again Denis. Much appreciated & respected.

I think his motto is "Limits are for quitters."

Unfortunately the 64bit version crashes LW even when the render is single threaded.

Still the same problem, I tried to solve in june...
So I couldn't say that I'm so fast or efficient on this point,
I think that Marvin pointed me in the right direction,
hope to fix it as soon as possible.

Marvin tested it today, and that seems to be fixed
for the x64 version too.

seems to work properly, no crashes, no memory problems.
thanks Denis.
