View Full Version : limiting polys to only exposed surfaces

Does anyone know if there is a way (or a plugin) that can look at, say two cubes that intersect, and without using Boolean Union, simply do essentially the same thing simply by understanding which parts of surfaces are exposed and which are not?

The reason this is so important to me is that I have solid models that I get that have zillions of intersecting objects, and to try to isolate each and every one and boolean unite all of them is such a pain. Especially when many of these are transparent or use SSS...the little intersecting pieces all over the place are totally awful looking when everything needs to look like one complete solid.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!:)
