View Full Version : Lightwave Sub-D's to Rhino Nurbs is possible.

Via plugin, and with a few tweaks of course.

I just participated in a webinar combining two Rhino plugins, TSplines (basically LW metanurb / sub-d functionality for Rhino) and RhinoCAM (CNC milling for Rhino).

.. and the results can be surprisingly good.

For all those who occasionally need to work in the prototyping area, it could be very interesting. Or even convert existing/old models from LW and modo.

It could also be a great way for people skilled in sub-d modelling to add Rhino to their toolset/capabilities.

Not 100% how they deal with sub-d point weights, I have to download the trial version (25 saves).

Not the cheapest plugin, but seems very solid in implementation.
