View Full Version : Package Scene: Remove Unused

I started with a fairly complex scene with multiple object layers from multiple .lwo files. Object layers have images mapped to them. I then stripped a number of object layers from the scene.

What I would like to do is package the scene and have the new package contain only images and object layers that are present in the new scene.

The attached image shows what I am looking for.

Does anyone know of a way to automate this?

Not with that Lscript the way it stands.

Matt, are you the author of that script? If so, nice work.

The change in script I'm looking for would certainly be a good chunk of work. If anyone is bored and feels like putting it together, I would certainly appreciate it. I've already finished this project the long and tedious way so there is no rush, though I know I’ll need to do this again in the future. Perhaps I'll throw my feeble coding skills at the task if I get some free time here at work.

Not mine I'm afraid, it was written by Jarrod Davis at NewTek.

No one said that! :)

I was just saying the LScript at the moment doesn't do any scene cleaning.

I'm wondering if it's possible for LScript to know which images and object layers are being used in a scene though.
