Often, I find myself spending a lot of time selecting stuff in Lightwave... sometimes I have to select stuff multiple times as I'm changing and manipulating polygons.

I noticed the "Selection set" button at the bottom right corner, and I can save a set... but I can't seem to figure out how to get my saved selections to "recall".

Is there something I'm missing?

Somewhere in the Select tab there should be a button that says something like "Select by vmap". (Sorry, not at a computer with LW on it).

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

For anyone else reading this, its in VIEW TAB > Selection > Maps > Select Polygons by Selection Set

I noticed you have to select the "exclusive" option, or else it'll "expand" the selection.

Actually, there is an additional way of recalling selection.
Press w for statistics and go down to the points statistics (press space)
The last line is the list of available selection sets.
BTW, the selection remembers only points, in order to convert it to edges press select> sel edges

SelectionPresetManager from TrueArt's Modeling Pack http://modelingpack.trueart.eu
is the most comprehensive tool for this task. It works with points, edges and polygons. Unlimited undo/redo level.

Here is video (download and watch off-line)
