Got the idea to post from Nakia's post...

This shareware product I found on Macupdate.com...

Cinematics

Chuck, I hope its appropriate to post this, as I think it would aid us software choice handicapped mac users...

think of it as iPhoto for movies...

You can organize a database of QT movies as playlist ala iTunes...

They can be tutorials, reference movies, LW renders, Model turntables, porn, anything that you can play using QT... even DV...

Viewable as a database in Playlist form and individually per playlist.

I've used it locally on my computers individually. I'm curious if it would work across a network. Set up a video server with nothing but QT of your renders, references, etc. Keeping your local drive lean and fast...

Some of the functionality can use more work. The keys assigned for plyback are a bit unintuitive. So far, i can't play ta QT at its original size, so I chance uneven scaling, Also I'd like to see the whole playlist thing expanded to a more robust format that supports Multiple catagories of playlists...

first level would be Local and network to select which group you would want...

Then you would have a catagory level to sort different dir for playlist: reference, test animations, scenes, porn, DV, etc....

Then, under that you would have the current playlists...

Call it Cinematics Pro if you will...

But for $25, how can you go wrong....
