Hi, im currently working on an animation, and im rendering it in fprime becuase its much quicker to create 2200 slides in it than with lws renderer.

However Im having an issue with a transparent surface. The surface in question starts as having a transparent value of 100%, but then over time becomes non transparent. When it is in its transparent stage it intersects other objects, and they are given a "haze" of shadow and transparency - there is a hole cut straight thorugh the intersection.

This does not occur in the normal lw render, but does in fprime renderer.

The deadline on this is a bit tight, so shaving a minute off each slide will be good :D

Any advice/suggestions on how to get fprime to stop the oddness?

Thanks

Check out whether do you have some weird geometry in that area, like duplicated points, duplicated polygons, double sided polygons, polygons that have > 4 points, or highly non planar poly.
Are you using nodes and/or materials or old way texturing?
What is your's ray recursion limit? Increase it and try again.
Do you have all Render Global Ray Tracing toggles on? Experiment with them.
