Hi,

I asked questions to Kurv Studios and I don't get answers.

They have a 70% Off Clearance, is it for DVD and download ???

"This is your last chance to get your hands on these titles."
They will clear the download of these titles too ???

Hope you can answer, I'm interested by Kat's Battlestar Galactica Series.

Thanks in advance!

Can you link to this 70% Off Clearance? I looked at the Kurv site and couldn't find this.

Was this one a good training with techniques? etc? I didn't attend it.
A Stereoscopic Primer for LightWave 3D

I would like to create simple red-blue anaglyph animations

I think its both.

But just go through the whole procedure to pay, put in the code, and then you'll see.

I bought the Cargo DVD .. it's already been sent apparently :)

The "This is your last chance to get your hands on these titles." sounds very ominous, or even odd.

I have heard many people happy with these particular training sets on here and elsewhere. Strange to remove them from stock.

UPDATE:

Just got a second email - "sale ends Sunday, June 27th".

That's tomorrow.

Glad I already bought mine and didn't miss.

Thanks for the notice .. Kurv?

(There was no date on the original email)

Yep. I meant I could have easily missed it, the way they announced it.

Luckily I am a forum junkie, so it's very unlikely .. : /

If you are referring to Shipped that you see in the orderform ... even before you pay for the item it reads Shipped ;) -

I purchased three and just right now purchased another.. so please don't download yours until I am done (One of them it seems rather familiar.. I hope I am not purchasing duplicates.. the bad thing of buying eformats..)

I literally received an email saying the DVD case had been sent by mail (yes, the postage was more than the disc cost- I'm a material guy).

Who knows, maybe these will become collectors items ;)

Cool, I have yet to receive an email from them when they ship DVD's via mail to me. Yeah, I was thinking to get the actual DVD, but I also wanted the instant satisfaction (even if it took hours of downloading).

It's a super sweet deal for sure. Take advantage of it while you can (or could I guess, its sunday already..).

The fun doesn't stop tomorrow though. More new videos will be out from me soon, but over at http://www.liberty3d.com

Just bought a few - for download. Got one last week and to be honest they're a bit like recoreded webinars. But for that price, can't be beat.

Yeah, sorry, that's because they are recorded webinars in the first place.

At liberty3d.com the videos being done there are pre-recorded, planned out and succinct with focus on whats going on and whats being done.

Hi everyones! :) Thanks for the answers!!!...I was not at home.

I got BSG Explosions 1 and 2, Lighting/Rendering FX and Gun & Engine FX
yesterday. It will be very helpful for my Sci-Fi short film project.

But I have a problem, I just have money for one more dvd and I don't
know what to chose between The Centurions and the Live Action Visual Effects.

I saw some Centurions scenes in the BSG Lighting and Rendering FX
(007-DaylightCenturions), it is the same training ?

Which of both dvd you recommend me.

Thanks again!

Hey Kat, could you do an advanced Lightwave dynamics series? They used Lightwave for the dynamics in Tropic Thunder (the helicopter crash), yet there is hardly anything out there for really advanced dynamics in Lighwave. Just a thought

P.S. Kudos for the prerecorded decision

In regards to my plea for dynamics training. I noticed Lino Grandi on your site. He won the FX challenge on CGtalk using lightwave to blow up a bridge.(which was incredible) I still can't figure out how to blow up my models in solid chunks.

Yes, hopefully Lino will have something out soon. I think he may be working on something character related, but I haven't spoken to him in some time. I don't want to speak for him as to when he will have something out but I will ask.

A new video will be out on www.liberty3d.com this morning. It's part one of my new space scene series I am doing showing how to build nebulae type effects and other astronomical phenomenon. This series goes from beginner/intermediate level to advanced stuff, but I will always try to keep it clear and concise.

As for blowing stuff up, I may be able to help you there in certain ways but I am no match for the mighty Lino! :) That video of the bridge he did was frakken awesome.
