Is there a way to increase a camera's resolution that will effectively increase the "canvas size" of the image? I have a scene setup perfectly and I don't want to change anything about the FOV or placement of any objects in the frame. I just want to add a little vertical headroom on the resolution that I can pan/scan in post to my liking. However when I add 40 pixels to the image height, it changes where the object is in the frame in relation to the horizontal edge of the frame. If you ramp up the vertical resolution a lot you can really see.

I know that this affects FOV and aspect ratio and all that good stuff, but is there some kind of formula to do this or is it impossible? To keep everything the same but add either vertical or horizontal resolution? Effectively being simliar to a Photoshop-style canvas size increase.

Thanks for the link. :hey: The technique in that thread worked perfectly. I'm surprised I've never had to do this before in the past.
