Dave Adams, Lightwave Dave, founder of the Elitist Bastards of 3D Mailing List, departed this world this morning.

He was of the best of us. He was a top bloke, and an inspiration to a generation.

I'll miss him.

I am sorry to hear that a 3D Artist have left us. I went over his website and the man is a genious and a master of his art. Another lost talent, but i'm sure his legacy will live all the way and his work a great inspiration to all of us.

I will quote a wise friend of mine.

Every time you remember a conversation, he's there.
Every time you watch his SFX he's there.
Every time you teach someone what he taught you, he's there.
Any time something is created that is because of him, he's there, part of it.

I worked with him once. I just remember that he smilingly criticized everything, and he thought Star Wars (the original) was stupid.

I dont know him personally, but his reputation is very good.
I am very sorry.
My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

Thanks Cresshead for supplying the URL....

I worked w/ Dave during the late 1990's in Michigan before he went to work at Foundation in California.

That's sad news...... he was still pretty young.....

Way too young to go.
The best to those he left behind.
Sadly I can't get to his site for a look at his work.

No way
Oh wow.

In years past, Dave was INCREDIBLY helpful and generous, a true asset to the community.

Thoughts to his family and friends.

Without meaning to appear mean, I'm confused about the revival of this thread and wonder if some might think this a more recent event. He died just over two years ago.
