I have a scene with sasquatch as grass, and I want to simulate wind blowing the grass (also in gusts). But I can't seem to figure out how. Any thoughts?

are you using sasquatch lite or
the full version?

check this site
http://www.worley.com/saslite.html

if youre using the saslite version then you donīt have the options to animate it with wind dynamics.

You could use long hair saslite, and apply clothFX to the guides for wind effects though.

I'm using the full version of sasquatch. I made the grass with fur, but after reading Dodgy post I guess I'm going to have to make it with the guides. I just thought it would be easier with fur. Ah well no harm done.

Thanks.

Ah, if you're using the full version, you can use a light as a wind source I think (been a while since I did this!). Gotta pop off now, but have a play. I think the light intensity controls the strength.

Sas' wind dynamics work great for fur. No FFX required for that unless you use guides.

Another thought with SasLite, maybe crazy but interesting:
Sometimes I was applying Fur (SasLite) to subpatched object and then make animated displacement map on it (procedural texture animated through time).
You can get some pretty cool moving fur effects this way (moving grass field are nice). :)

You do know that there is a demo scene included with Sasquatch that shows a null object blowing the grass? If you don't have the demo scene, I believe you can download it in the download upgrade area.

Here is the scene section:

And here is where you can download the demo scenes:

Duh... I feel like and idiot, lol.
