View Full Version : Mac UV Solution?

Hi. I am currently trying to find a nice set of uv tools that will work on an Intel Mac running OS X 10.5.

I've heard so much about the PLG tools but they are not available for my machine. I tried them in LW8.5 on a G5 running OS X 10.4 and the Make UV Edit tool always crashes modeler. The Pack UVs tool works well and appears to be problem free. Ideally I would like to work in LW9.6 on the MacPro.

Other options that I'm considering are: 3D-Coat, UV Layout, MODO and running Windows on my machine for PLG or Unfold3D.

All input will be greatly appreciated as this has become a surprisingly frustrating endeavor.

Any NewTekians care to chime in?

I've had the same issues. While I have not bought anything just yet I was looking at either:
both are available for the mac, Intel only I believe....
There are videos for both showing how to do uv work so you might want to check them out.

If you can get past the interface which looks like a dogs dinner, UV layout is a great app.
