I had a sudden, weird realization. I noticed that a large number of members on this forum have cat pictures as their avatars. Not judging, just wondering. Is there something about Lightwave and cats that goes together?

It's one of those things that is always there staring you in the face that you just accept for a long time, then one day it just clicks. Like why are STOP signs octagonal(in the US at least)? Any way, I thought it was really funny.

i took my driving license later this year and belive me, it helps they are an ocotogon. Cause then i know when the other guy has to stop and i can keep moving instead of going all worried if i have priority or not.

Maybe in your country you have a "Move along pal, the other guy has to stop" facing you, in here we don't, we have to guess what the other guy is looking at, so we can make decisions :D

(by the way nice videos on youtube)

Chubby not chubby cartoons should rule the world. :)

My theory is nerdly, indoorsy types prefer low-maintenance felines that are perfectly at home sitting in a dark room all day. Younger animators tend to be nomadic, living in cheap-rent apartments sans yards (or in Mom's basement). A slinky cat is slightly closer than a dog, to a girlfriend they will never attract.

Now I have a choice of 2 dogs, 2 rabbits, 4 guinea pigs and a tortoise so I chose the car instead :D

Sorry to hear that Matt :) -- I believe they make a medication for your condition, or you could wear something to cover your face. Kidding... I'm kidding.

Cats are like LW users -- smart, independant, and... fuzzy.

My Basset hound does two things well: eat and sleep. Well, three things: poops.
My cat does all of that plus harasses the dog and anything else that moves.

Why does my cat serenely sit and watch a big city bus drive by, but when a garbage truck goes by, her eyes get big and she runs and hides? Is this something passed down from one of her ancestors? The big monster that ate great uncle Thomas while he was enjoying a snack in his primary food locker -- the one where people throw in those delicious snack foods? I mean, that monster came roaring up and grabbed the snack palace, flipped it over it's head, and then made another roar as it digested it's meal.

There needs to be more squirrels. Squirrels make life so much more interesting.

Nothings like a squirrel greeting you when you get home.

I believe it started during 9.2 Open Beta as a petition to get more kitrten images in the LW manual. :)

But my cats belong to my girlfriend, how does that work?

Hmm intersting thread.

lightwave = cats
cats = independent, smart, adaptable and they love light beams and reflections...

lightwave does ray tracing
cats do ray chasing>> see vid below

Cats are nice, I've decided to not have another one because the last two were killed by strangers.

I've an eagle and my old, crazy cat thinks she can eat him:

Some Birds look more human in the face than other birds. I think that is interesting. Must be the positioning of the eyes on the head and how sunken-in the eyes are.
