I would put money on that most of the people here have seen "Might Morphin Power Rangers" when it came out back in 1993. Recently, on ABC, it's was given a makeover.

I watched this when it first came out and the two effects I really love as a kid were the "Morphin Time (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWOQQyP-fLU)" and "Transporter" effects... Now-a-days the effects used look like a bad project off of YouTube, but for some reason I haven't be able to remake the effects myself.

I have AE CS3, LW 8.6, Motion, and Final Cut Pro on hand and if anyone knows of any tutorials, I've searched, please let me know.

- Take a close-up of a guy with a helmet (photograph)
- Take that into Photoshop (or Illustrator)
- Draw a filled wireframe on top of that
- Fill the backrgound with back
- Make a matte of the guy with the helmet
- Take both pictures into AE
- Put a sparkle effect ontop of your drawing using particles and mask it with the alpha
- Put your photo on a layer abowe it and wipe it in from the center also masking it with the alpha
- Hard-cut to a total-shot of 5 more people in funny suits

My god, what an increadibly BAD effect!! They should have called it the Power Rangers Wipe.
