Hello to everyone. I have a question about an issue that has been bugging me for the last few hours. I recently built a system with these components.

Western Digi 500 gig (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136358)

Asus M4A78T-E (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131366)

Seventeam 850 watt power supply (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817176002)

8 gigs of these (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148097)

AMD 965 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103727)

I'm also running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. The machine has been running pretty well so far. The annoying issue that I'm having with Lightwave is that my keyboard won't work at times. It's not all the time, but every once and a while you can't get any of the keys to register. I close lightwave and all is good anywhere else. I don't understand what is happening. I deleted my config file a few times and it only seems to cure it some of the time, and besides I like to configure lightwave a certain way that I'm used to so I would rather keep my config file anyway. Has anybody had a similar problem? I'm running both lightwave 32 and 64 bit and it's doing this in both. I don't get it... Someone help please. Let me know if there is anything else I can provide for information that may help diagnose the problem.

if you are using icq, miranda or any miniapp check if its using keyboard shortcuts.. if so.. disable them

it happens to me sometimes in layout that i use "n" for numeric input for object position/rotation and then dont exit the focus from the numeric fields ..
when you press enter on numeric keyboard it skips to next field (shortcuts dont work)
when you press "big" enter on alphanumeric keyboard it exits the numeric panel focus (shotcuts work)

Thanks everyone. And thank you, Megalodon. You pretty much described to a tee what is happening on my system as well. I have both the keyboard and the mouse plugged into the usbs. Yesterday, the onboard sound stopped functioning as well. Reboot the system and all is good. With an Nvidia 265, I couldn't be happier with this system for gaming, but when it comes to using apps like Lightwave, Gimp, and Inkscape this is getting terribly irritating. Luckily the mouse doesn't lock up so I can still save before having to reboot. Odd that is doesn't do this on any of the games that I'm playing though. Oh well. Back to google some more...
