This is something to look forward to, both for viewing and for creating content for: Linky. (http://www.rdmag.com/News/2010/05/Information-Tech-Software-Trick-tech-hides-in-the-depths-of-3-D-advertising/)

I think this is the system I saw at Siggraph last year. They had a display on the wall and you didn't need glasses to see the 3d effect. I was very impressive. The objects really do seem to jump off and out of the screen area.

The only thing is that you kind of have to position yourself in a sweet spot to see the effect, but that said, the sweet spot is relatively big. You could move your head around without loosing it. Also once you pass the unsweet spot a few inches more and you are again in a sweet spot. Think of the lenticular 3d pictures that come in a cracker jack box .

You could also buy lenticular paper/sheets to print your own inkjet lenticular 3D images :)

I just don't want it to talk to me as I pass...

"Hey John Anderton, couldn't you use a Guinness right now?"
