New job. New to LightWave or any kind of animation/rendering software for that matter. The rendering of an animation I made didn't turn out at all like I was expecting so I thought saving the preview would be good enough to show the boss for now. It gives me an error, though it has the same properties as the rendered file that does play (file type: video clip, opens with: windows media player). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Can't say I've ever heard of someone saving out the Preview Render that way.
Do you think it could be a codec issue?

A preview anim for me is usually the regular animation at like 1/4 resolution with radiocity, global illumination and volumetrics turned off if I can get away with it. Sometimes those are exactly the things you want to see. I also tend to turn the Anti Aliasing down to like 3 or sometimes off for a preview render.

Good Luck.

Check the options under the preview button, try a few just blank ones until you get the options settings that will open.

didn't the preview renderer have its own codec at one point in time? I don't recall any more. But it seams like there was one. I don't use the previewer enough to remember.

You just have to choose the right one from the options, I use them allot now. Previs!
