hello (again) :)
i am still looking for a new desktop to work with, but most of the descent one's are Windows 7 64-bit. and i have always used Windows XP 32-bit, so im not sure if Windows 7 64-bit is a problem wen it comes to using LightWave.
so can any one tell me if it is worth buying a desktop with an Operating System that is Windows 7 64-bit?

thank you in advance

I'm using Lightwave on 64bit systems for years now. First XP 64bit and since a month or two on windows 7.

My advice is: Do it!

With a 64bit system Lightwave can use all the RAM it can get. Some PlugIns don't work on the 64bit Lightwave (KO_Pointfit f.e.) but I installed the 32bit version too. So get yourself a 64bit OS and at least 4 GB RAM. Then the fun begins!

One sidenote: QuickTime doesn't have a proper 64bit version, so you will have probems with that. I expierenced problems with AFX and Premiere 32bit on my 64bit environment, too. As CS5 supports 64bit now, this shouldn't bother you too much.
