View Full Version : How does Jimmy Rig work along side with LW

I have Jimmy Rig and although it has many movements, I find it hard to marry them with another object in a Lightwave scene. I rig that JR puts in my characters are not that good, especially around the feet. I was wondering if there is a better way to do this. Since there is no instruction on how to work with JR, I rely on tutorials (few) on the internet, but the ones I see are good, but they are not associated with another object. I know that JR is not expensive. What I would like to do is bring the rigged character into modeler to fine tune it, but I do not know how to do this. I like to tweak and add some more bones to make the rig work better.

not 100% sure,

but since JimmyRig exports mocap files, (right?) i would assume that using ikb would be the best solution.

this dvd talks about how to deal with mocap in LW and how to tweak the result in ikb,

(edit: sorry, i see now it outputs .lws and not .bvh,
never-the-less, the same still goes, so the dvd linked above is still what you want to adjust the animation in ikb)
