View Full Version : Rotating model causes fibers to grow

I'm finally happy with my model and I was ready to render a little turn-around animation but when I did a test render I noticed something odd. By rotating the model the fiber hair got longer.

I made a little example image where you can see the hair the way it should be at 0.0 rotation, then at about 58 degrees on the Heading. These are both on frame 0 so it shouldn't have anything to do with dynamics I would think. The hair is short so I didn't use any guides aside from the ones created automatically in Layout.

This is very confusing to me, does anyone have any ideas?

Not that is fixes your problem, but as a work around does rotating the camera around the model avoid the effect?

Yeah rotating the camera is fine, that's how I was doing all of my test renders until now.
