The pictures where you have to adjust your eyes to see a 3D shape hidden in the background. Can LW do it? And if so how?

Son of a diddly! It works!

Just have to render a depth map or a grayscale based on distance to camera.

Neat website.

I am one of those unfortunate peoples that simply cannot adjust their eyes to see the hidden image. :o

The best advice I can give is look at it on a monitor or on glossy paper so that you can focus your eyes on your own reflection. When the image starts to appear, you'll probably try to refocus and lose it, so it takes practice to maintain your eyes at the right focal length.

The easiest way I can describe how to get it to work for you is to stare at the center of the picture for 20 seconds or so and let your eyes fatigue slightly then allow them to relax and "blur" (almost like crossing your eyes) a little bit. It will pop right out. Then it will go away as soon as your brain tries to focus on it.

Don't worry, I was the same, still struggle, but i do find the reflection thing works. Either that, or look just on the edge of the monitor and focus at something roughly double the distance to the monitor, you then see the image start to form.
The big problem is stopping your eyes trying to snap to focus as you move to look at the image fully.
I've also found I can "see" certain images better than others.
