My latest project!

Integrated Manned Interplanetary Spacecraft - this was a Boeing design, intended as a general purpose long range manned spacecraft, with propulsion modules that could be combined in different ways to suit the mission.

It was to be propelled by the NERVA nuclear rocket engines, with the propulsion units launched on top of a Saturn V for assembly in orbit.

(I know, the final one should have dropped the propulsion units, and be reversing to brake into orbit, but I thought this looked cooler!)

Very cool!
I always liked NERVA as a rocket engine type.

Here's another finished image, showing the arrival at Mars / Phobos.
