I can not remmber where I read it, but it was a clause with running LW on a network with a liecnes.
What I like to do is use my secondary comp to render so I can continue to use my main computer.

Let me know

Screamernet could be your your answer. You can either use 2 instances Lightwave on your main workstation - a Lightwave for work and a separate instance of Lightwave controlling screamernet, which would control the render happening on your secondary computer. Or, you could run a 3rd party controller on either comp, and render on your secondary (and your primary when you're not using it).

If you're unsure what I'm talking about, do a search for screamernet on these forums.

Hope this helps

There's also a plugin / exe if i recall which sort of side-steps the convulted setup for screamernet which you choose the scene for.
Ahh, found it, DStorms LWSNC

Choose the LWSN controller for your version of LW - handy. :)

or, install LW on both machines, run the render on the render machine, remove the dongle while rendering. (works)
