How difficult is it to compile a program to run into other os?
This tracking software has a source code but only runs on linux. Would like to try out in win or mac

great product(link) horrible web site ! if you look at the code/rar there is a win32 build ! if that helps .
you can also run a linux shell inside windows .
compiling may cause problems and holes in the code . esp python - C++
I suppose you could wrap the code , but it would be quicker downloading linux and running it direct from disk

Supported Operating Systems:

The code was developed on x86/x86-64 Linux. It has also been ported to
Intel-based MacOS X (using X11 for the display). These two operating
systems are supported.

The software can also be compiled on Win32, but this is not our target
platform and so this port is not very clean; see the Windows section later
in this document.
