Ahhh.. I couldn't decide if it was a Galaxy or a Falcon. Seems to be an appropriate vehicle for the subject at hand.

True. (I don't think the car driver was ever in much danger though - more steel in the bumpers of those cars than a half dozen of today's models.)

Ever see the movie "Tucker"? It's not about the car stopping, it's that you don't stop, straight into the steering wheel and out the windshield, and that was before safety glass.

Ever see the movie "Tucker"? It's not about the car stopping, it's that you don't stopNo, but in this case the car was stopped, or nearly so. The guy backed out of a driveway that entered the road midway around a tight curve (I could have turned an 18-wheeler around in the same driveway and entered the roadway frontwards, but no - he had to back out blocking both lanes instead.) In this case, at least, I was the ballistic object.

Smarts are actually very sturdy machines built around a little roll-cage. Problem is that everybody else is bigger and heavier and when they hit you..... PINBALL!

But if everybody drove Smarts it would be like riding bumper-cars to work. Fun!
