This should be on the Lightwave website - front page and every brochure.

The freaking standard.

How do you know he use XSI?

Was rendered in LW but it would have been seriously impressive if the C.A. was actually done in LW. ;)

We already know the Legacy LW renderer is good after all. :)

wonderful. It would be very interesting to get some details on how this was created. It certainly looks like face robot could be involved, but anyway...details!! :)

Where did you hear this? I see no real info about it anywhere and the YT profile seems a joke. Its odd no one would take credit for it.

I know who's responsible. Apparently, the clip got mailed round Weta and ILM - I believe he's had offers of work off the back of it.

I wonder if he'll come out of hiding to make a comment?

opps! didn't see the other threads!...merge or delete this one then!

btw could be Pooby as he bought a mo cap set up last year...

Cageman
02-27-2010, 06:53 PM
My best guess here is that it might be Pooby who did it. I know he loves XSI and FPrime, and concidering what he have done in the past regarding some very lifelike tests with a character (XSI for anim, LW/FPrime for rendering), I kind of have a hard time guessing who else would have pulled it off.

:)

Buy the latest www.HDRI3D.com magazine (issue 30) and read about Gerardo's LW render setup.
20 pages of info... or was it 22...?

i was thinking the same... :)
but i guess there was a reason why it was done in XSi (as far as CA, and possibly FaceRobot)

Fantastic !!. I also LOVE the mystery over who did it (although I think the guys here have figured it out)

I'd love to know if it was scripted and he got an actor to do the commentary or whether he came across a real blog somewhere, or even better - acted this himself.

If it is scripted, then I am as amazed at the quality of that too. Right down to the fact he tells his mom he is doing a scottish accent and comes out with a near perfect Irish one.

Being a geordie living in Canada I get that ALL OF THE TIME ;)

I'd also love to know how long it took
Whoever did it, well done
