yep i been thinking again. (not all the way thought out yet)

what if they could be aware of each other so that do not ovelap.
maybe could give them a weight or a falloff area so that we could
limit the calculations needed to make it work "well" and maybe without
having to hit the calculate button like when using dynamics.

The polys, point, and edges within the area selected know that they
can not exist in the same space so they automatically use a manually set
threshold to determine how close they can get to each other.

I think this would create better deformations. especially for characters.

instead of moving the parts you could give them an average point to attract or scale to keeping the mesh smooth.
