I'm totally stuck. I want to create polygon selection sets in LightWave and then load my model into Cinema4D/BodyPaint so that I can use the selection sets for UV Mapping in BodyPaint. But when opening the .lwo file in BodyPaint, the selection sets are not showing up anywhere.

Why not just create the UVs in LW? Im not sure what might support LW vertex maps.

Why not just create the UVs in LW?

Have you used Lightwave?

lol, usually I use the PLG tools if I need a good unwrap.:)

honestly I've used several tools for Uvs, and today I only use LW with the plg tools, I work with people who use max and xsi and all of them are impressed with what plg tools can do

Are these part of stock Lightwave now?

Sadly they are not. NT was supposed to add UV unwrapping into LW 9.x but never happened...

Are they free?

Yep. PLG tools rock. I still prefer to UV map in Modo, but if your stuck in LW for whatever reason PLG is the way to go.

Sounds like I will continue to use Silo2 for all my unwrapping needs.

Yeah, sadly no PLG for Mac UB LW, I just use Modo or 3DCoat these days.

I suppose I should look at Silo's tools at some point (I've got Silo 2), but given it appears to be a wholly dead product, I'm not that motivated to do so. Carm, any chance you can compare Silo 2's UV support versus Modo or 3DCoat?
