Hi All!

Here's a humble try to enter the world of interior architecture, taken from this picture:

And I've end with that:

So I think it's not too bad...indeed I'm satisfied with the result, but I'm locking for advice, criticism in order to improve the next one.
The carpet is a simple poly with bitmap and bump, I've tried some polygonal fiber in order to have the same effect that the carpet on the original picture, but I finally give up :(
Some radiosity problems (final gather with default settings) over the Mucha's painting too, which is strange cause it's work on all the rest of picture.
About the lightning, there is only one area light and finalgather...maybe a more complex rig will produce better results?

Definitely different, but pretty slick! I like the bottom one a bit better because it's not soo much.

That's very close to the source material and probably looks better, as Larry said.

The details (particularly the sofa) look terrific. Having a TV on in an image like this can usually often detract so I'm glad you didn't go for Up or The Matrix or something like that.
Kitsch works

lol thank for reply Ian! It should be an obscure relationship between dust and "the bad the good and the ugly"! I'm glad you appreciate it! :)

Slick is definitely the word to describe this rendering. Excellent use of entourage. Nice job!
