hi everyone, need some questions on joints feature that comes in LW. Is there a way, link, tutorial and on how we can edit an joint chain..??

especially if the rigged is up and ready for work and with the same function job as bone split, bone connect and bone fuse etc but on joint mode where we can edit and insert a joint or even more in between the two joints..


Any ideas and link suggestions is appreciated and thanks...

the split, connect, etc tools only work on zbones, not joints, but its quick and simple enough to switch back and forth between the two types when wanting to make edits like this.

thanks for droppin rebelhill, bones are already given for modify long time ago but i look joints has no edit point unlike the bones. Thou u can switch back and forth between them but still its a no way edit joints... coz splitting the joints on bone mode then returning back to joints, notice the rigged collapses and are in disarrange orders... joints are really a help in animating a stretch and squash but missing a joint edit tools will ruin a rigged... and lose ur work and start rigging again from the start...

not at all, if u have a chain of joints, convert, split/merge some, and convert back to joints it should all work fine.

If you're having problems doing it later after rigging stuff up, then thats not surprising, as constaints, names, etc wont necessarily sit right anymore, which is why its best to get all that sort of stuff out of the way at the beginning before adding in the rig.
