Is there a plugin that does the same as dstorms Load Bones?

or is there a way in LW 9.6 to load bones into modeler from a scene?

I see there's a link for a mac version. Or are hoping on a better alternative?

I believe that's for a Mac CFM (PPC) plugin, though, not a Mac UB plugin.

No problem, I did use the Mac CFM (PPC) plugin with an older version of LightWave and that's what made me want a Mac UB version for LW 9.6. It's such a handy plugin when using Mocap data and having to adjust the skelegons in Modeler.
