I know I saw this somewhere just recently, and have used it in the past but I just lost all my config files in a HD incident so I have to rebuild some stuff I added before my last bulk save.

Anyways this was plugin that you either selected points or edges and it would turn them into a circle (or as much of a circle as it could with the edges/points it had to work with). Useful for boolean operations in some cases. ISTR it respected curved normal continuity too....

Kinda need it at the moment for something. Its driving me crazy!

I'm positive this plugin exists for modo, because I've used it. Although it didn't work perfectly, but well enough. If it did exist for LW that would be pretty cool, I usually make circles using the cylinder tool then use that to replace the points I want to be in a perfect circle. It's a long work around, but you get the perfect circle with the same amount of edges.

Not sure if JettoFillet did what he was asking, but it seems to now be called TrueFillet.

Yoink who? what? Huh?

I figured he was talking about something like this: (scroll down to perfect circle)
http://www.indigosm.com/modoscripts.htm

I doesn't look like truefillet does that. Maybe it does though, i've never used it.

Megalodon, check out my 1st link above. The TrueArt guys who seemed to make JettFillet, said they made an equivalent tool that works with v9.x I think JettFillet is basically null, unless you use ~8.x or prior. TrueFillet is it's more powerful replacement.

Maybe you are thinking of "untangle". It works with a polygon selection though. You can select multiple polys if they are not connected.
If you have a hole that needs to be made round, you will need to cap it with a polygon first, then run untangle.

Untangle comes with lightwave.

Im now pretty sure it was the MODO script i was thinking of! Coulda sworn I did it in Lightwave though. I thought it was a pictrix plugin but theres nothing on his sight so ... it must have been modo.

Well thanks all!

back to rebuilding config files.... Sorting the plugins into
alphabetical groups by hand is the worse :-( Somebody should make
a program for easy editing of the text files.... hint ... hint ...)

If you're Cameron from Australia, I remember some EasySpline client with such name.. Maybe you're talking about making curve from points or edges, and then using EasySpline's Spline Density to increase details with preserved curvature? Spline Density video is available in videos section here http://www.easyspline.com
