View Full Version : Text plug problem

I'm having quite a strange problem with Modeler. I want to create text within Modeler but the plug-in gives me some strange error, which I posted underneath.

'Error code 10101 has occured
Internal fault of unknown origin.
Try operation again or restart Modeler.'

I did all the error-notification asked but it didn't help. I even re-installed everything. It all just doesn't help.

Can anyone help me out here? Thanx!

First, make sure the plug-in is actually loaded, via Edit plug-ins. (opt-f11)

Second, make sure you have some fonts loaded in modeler (Modeler->Options->Edit font list...)

Third, have the numeric requester up before you select the text tool.

Oh, what version of LW and OS?

Well, I did all of that. Otherwise I couldn't select my Text tool, now would I?! :)
I'm using Mac OSX.1.5 and Lightwave 7.5.
I hope this helps you to understand the problem.

Thanx again.

Hi Koen,

Is it specific to the font(s) you've loaded into the Text Tool? Have you tried clearing the loaded fonts and loading a totally different one (e.g. a 'safe' font like Lucida Grande) or does it happen with all fonts?

If that don't work.
Try removing your prefs in the user account.

Ps: only the prefs of lw ofcourse :D
This always worked for me when i have a weird problem in lw.

Hi guys,

I removed my LW prefs and guess what!? Problem solved! I guess I'm already used to OSX that I forgot about good ol' prefs! ;)

Thanx guys!
