hello i just want to share with you my last project i still working on !
and i have a little question i asked myself without any solution !
I start to model this head every think was ok but in my viewport, i can see i have 72 polygon with more than 4 points.
On my model every think look great why is this a bug ?

What do you thinking about ?

I made the UV in blender but i m' not very happy with the result i should restart the UV soon !

After the UV i will make the detail, the brain and texture painting in z brush ! i still have some work to accomplish it !

Looks very nice and fun.
Why do the UV in blender? PLG UV does the job.
Has for the 'bug', it's not. You meant you did your model with all quads, right?
So what you are seeing is Point Statistics, not Polygon Statistics. In Point Statistics you can see the number of points that belong to 1 Polygon, 2 Polygons, 3 Polygons, 4 Polyongs and More than 4 Polygons. Wich is not the same of Polygons Statistics wich show you the number of polyongs that have 1-Point, 2-Points, 3-Points, 4-Points, More than 4-Points.
So change the Statistics Panel to Polyongs (space key) and you will see if your model is all quads or not, this way.

I did the uv in blender because i think blender have great uv tool set and i know him as well.
I work on a mac and i tryed to install plg uv and it seems failed to load on my machine !
A lot of plugin failed on mac osx !

I don't know if i do some think wrong !

so thanks you and i will post my base drawing maybe this evening !

The plg uv plugins do not work on the UB version of lw. Blender is a good alternative for mac users these days for uv.

hello
I continue my detail work on my lightwave model but the think are
quite hard !

i try to explain what i do actually and how i prefer to work !

i have my head model in lightwave i modeling all the geometry in different layer the face on the one the tooth on the second layer the brain on the third etc etc ...

after i apply all the surfaces i want on my geometry in the modeler !
i save it !

after i just have to open it in blender with the lwo import and my model is open with all surfaces convert in different object very usefull for the
uv mapping i think !

so i made my uv map by object, the face, the eyes, the tooth etc etc
after i save it and export it with the lwo exporter !

When i open it in the modeler all my uv map are apply on my differents surfaces !

My question is there is a way to export all the surfaces the same way in .obj format to open it in zbrush with all surfaces apply to subtools geometry !

i want my face with is uvmap on a subtool
my tooth with is uvmap on the second subtool
my eye with is uvmap to the third etc etc ....

actually i must export it at once and sculpt it !
