Since a lot of people kept asking how I did the dreams in Lukas' Dad is not a Rabbit, I wrote a little tutorial. You can find it here:

http://bortbyting.com/en/tuts/

And here is what the dream looks like in the film:

Thank you very much for buying our DVD! We are still working on the script and some storyboards for our feature. I don't want to rush into it before the story is as good as it can be. It's not just 30 minutes this time, and if the story isn't great... I don't want to waste a couple of years on something that I don't feel is really there yet.

Not too long. I had an idea of what I wanted to do from the beginning, it was just about how to use the program to get the right result. The tree in the field was the trickiest part to figure out. I think I experimented for a day or so to figure it out.

lillmagnus!

Forgot to review the DVD .. a great little piece of work!

The making of video was great, I almost felt like I could understand what was going on .. the boardroom breakdown in LW was nice to see.

The stamps alone were worth it .. check it out Neverko!

Now release the next one so I can order that too ;)

ps. Thanks for the bump, 1234560 :)

Hello,

I don't suppose that anyone here can help locate the above tutorials anywhere? I had them, I've now lost them and the Bortbyting website no longer links to them :(

Also, I'm sure Nickdigital (if you are reading this) also gave some tips on celshading a while ago but I'm also having trouble finding that thread too. Can anyone help there too?

Thank you,

Kev xx

I'll see if I saved offline versions of those tutes. I've chimed in on various threads so not sure what help you're looking for exactly.

Great, thank you.

Yeah, sorry I can't remember the specific thread, I just seem to remember you linking to a tutorial / tips on how you set up your cel shading (which always looks fantastic!)

Basically, although I've experimented a few times with celshading for fun, I now have had a job come in which will require me to do it for real.

That thread and the above tutorials have been in the back of my mind to revisit, it's just a shame I have lost both ;)

Thanks again,

Kev xx

The bort site works. The tutorial link doesn't but maybe you can navigate the site to see if the tutorials were just moved.

You're welcome to start a new thread to ask questions or pm me.

And thanks for the compliment!

The page that has the tutorials can be found via the waybackmachine but the links to the actual pdfs don't work. I suppose someone could reach out and see if the author will online them again.

Ok... I did a little searching... and with the help of waybackmachine and google... here are the PDFs! :D

http://bortbyting.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/comicbookstyle.pdf

http://bortbyting.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/handdrawn_minitut.pdf

Hope that helps! Looks very interesting indeed... thank you for bringing this thread back up top. I'd never have seen it otherwise!

Hahaaa Brilliant!!!

I tried waybackmachine too but had the same result as Nickdigital.

I'll give 'em a read again tonight and actually give it a go tomorrow.

Thanks for the help guys :)
