Hello folks,

I need to export an envelope from a single motion channel of an item to a .env file. Can anyone help me out on how to do this? I'm a fairly limited scripter.

Thanks in advance

Unfortunately, as far as I know, there is no quick way of doing this. The .env format is simply a portion of text 'ripped' from the lws file and placed separately in a text file. If you save out an .env file, and compare with the lws file you will see this.

By going through and parsing the lws file you can look for the object, and the channel to save out. My suggestion is to already know which channel to look for (e.g. Position.X == Channel 0) and then maneuver along the lws file until you get to the channel, and then write the data block to an external text.

Or you can use the channel data and write it out in the env format, without having to parse a scene file. You'd have to figure out which of the values goes where first, but that shouldn't be too hard.
